Off to South America

Something is going to happen

This post should have been published last week, but, as you can read here, my plans changed and this post was postponed, that’s life.

There have been some changes in my life during this period. The first one is that I submitted my PhD dissertation and now I’m waiting for the council's answer with the defense date. Another big news is that my girlfriend Fernanda had to return to Ecuador because her residence permit in Hungary expired, and she is currently working in Peru, leading an international education program.

Let’s go to the current news, the ones relevant to this blog. I will be in South America for a while. Now I’m in Cusco! I arrived a few days ago and am waiting for Fernanda to finish her work. Here are some pictures from her.

I am with my flatmates because one of them is participating in a conference in Lima and we decided to travel all together. While we wait for Fernanda to finish her work we will visit Cusco and what there is around like Machu Pichu, the Rainbow Mountain, and many other places.

My flatmates will stay in Peru until the beginning of August. After that, Fernanda and I will travel together and we will probably go to Bolivia. Still, at the moment, we don’t have plans but sure we will go to Ecuador where I will meet her family and visit the country. At the moment I don’t have a flight ticket back to Europe, I will stay here at least for 3 months.

From now every week, I will write updates about my life in South America, with pictures of course.
