Pretty desolate landscape. 700 m is not that much climbing, but when you're starting at 4300 m..well..I've been in Bolivia, the elevation is nuts. Very odd place.
I really enjoyed this article, Flavio. I have always wanted to visit Ecuador, but I never managed to do so. At this point in my life--especially considering the altitudes--a visit is unlikely to happen. So it is fun to explore the country through your eyes.
