I find Belgrade a beautiful city, but maybe that’s because I got there after 2 times after traveling in the other Balkan counties, where the taste is still very different from ours. Belgrade puts together the ancient Absburg beauty with brutalism, the Balkan flavor and a lot of green. I have great memory there.
I understand your point now that I have also travelled more in the Balkans. But I still think that it isn't a beautiful city even if I liked it and I would go back.
Wow, another interesting place that we haven’t been to, and probably unlikely at our age. So pleased your girlfriend was of the same mind as you when travelling, we travelled with our best friends once and that nearly turned into a disaster as it wasn’t our plan to spend every day shopping. I’m with you in relation to markets, they are definitely on the top of my list, and also to eat where the locals do. Who wants to travel to another country and eat Macca’s lol….
