Wonderful photographs, sounds like a fascinating city, definitely adding it to my travel list! Japan is currently on the top so looking forward to the next one!
Devoured this post! Beautifully written with great photos to accompany the stories. You really took me back to the bustling streets of Seoul. It’s one of my favorite cities of all time and I don’t think I could ever get sick of it. Even though we’ve visited twice, you showed me several spots that we haven’t explored yet. Thanks for giving me many reasons to go back! - Hannah
Many years ago I won flights for two to anywhere in the world that a now defunct Australian airline (Ansett) flew to. Seoul was on the list, but I decided against it, choosing Bali instead. Sounds like I made a big mistake. Thank you for sharing your trip.
Seoul is a fantastic city, I’d love to go back. Beautiful pictures especially the scenes with the women wearing the traditional dress. If I’m right, when Koreans wear their traditional dress to historical sites such as temples they can get in free. Sounds to me like a great idea!

Yes but also tourists can rent the traditional dresses, so could be that some of them are Asian people that rent the hanbok.
Ah I didn’t realise that!
Firmly remains in the bucket list. Thank you.
Thank you!
Heading there in a couple of months and will reference your post. Thanks for the great descriptions.
Thank you! cool, I'm curios to know what will be your experience.
Thank you, that is good to know!
Such lovely memories and wonderful photographs.
I hope one day to have the courage to wander by myself in a place like this.
I think its the language thing with it being a symbolic language. No way I can even guess at what signs say.
Thank you!! everybody speaks English there! and you can find everything in double language or transliterate.
wow, really love some of these! Looking forward to the next post!
Thank you!!
A fun visual and historical journey. Thanks Flavio! It's a small world - I was in Seoul in 2019 also but in May.
Thank you! Wow! and did you like it?
Yes I loved it! Was only in the city for about 5 days but it was wonderful. We ate lots of BBQ. It looked like you had a memorable experience as well.
Yes the famous Korean BBQ! Yes I had a great time and I hope I will be able to go again!
This is a great overview, Flavio! I’m heading to Seoul in a couple weeks and excited to see the places you’ve written about.
I lived in Seoul for a decade and it remains one of my fave cities. Your pics bring it all back to me.
